Government Advice On Home Moving Under Covid Pandemic

Tue 22 Dec 2020

The government yesterday, 21st December 2020, confirmed all estate and letting agents within the housing market are free to go about their jobs, within all tiers, including visiting properties. Property conveyancers, surveyors, trades people and DEA EPC inspectors are similarly included.

The updated advice also asks that agents states:

  • Agents should ask whether any party is showing symptoms or has been asked to self-isolate before going ahead with any viewing, or visits to offices.

  • Ask visitors to their branches to wear face masks.

  • Wear masks during viewings, valuations or appraisals.

  • Strongly advise potential buyers and tenants to complete initial viewings virtually online.

  • Agents must not drive anyone to viewings.

  • Clean keys before handover.

Living Property comply fully with the Government Covid pandemic safeguarding advice.

"The Ladies at Living property are the friendliest and most efficient team I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. When I moved into my first property I was impressed that they dealt with all the handling of the meter readings and contacted the utility companies on my behalf, Which took immediate stress off my move. They are professional and always reliable, good natured and good humoured in all our correspondences. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone needing assistance with accommodation."
